This mural was done on one wall of the dining room in my client's house. They wanted a "wine" theme, and throughout the process, we discussed different ideas regarding a painted window and what to do with the built-in china cabinet. I made the wall look textured (stucco-ish), which was a new technique for me. The oil-on-canvas painting at the left of the mural was one I painted Freshman year of college (which was on the wall originally, and they wanted back when the mural was done), and the wire wine rack at the right was something that was on the wall originally as well. I bought 8 quarts of Behr paint (in cool and warm primaries and black and white) for this project. The mural took approximately 25 hours over six days.
